The 5 centes stamp hand-made paper (1/6/1850)

Unique type - Handmade paper - Original coat of arms
Common characteristic of the 5 CENTES cliché:
- printed only on handmade paper with the original coat of arms (unique plate);
- stereotype;
- tip of the lower internal right ornament, in the coat of arms frame, long and pointed;
- number "5" connected to the superior value frame;
- base of the "5" connected to the lower left ornament tip, in some cases the trait is not very clear and you can see only a small dot on the lower part of "5";
- letter "C" connected in the superior part with the "E";
- letter "N" connected in the superior part with the "T";
- color dot in the lower left part of the leg of "T";
- a minute coloued dot can be seen in the upper right corner of the value frame, on the right of the ornament "V";
- in the upper left corner a small gap can sometimes be found in the internal framline, before the ornament "V",
often this break is closed by over-inking.
The recto verso printings are due probably because of the reutilization of some sheets printed in a light way or with some imperfections.
This kind of stamps exist with back stamp straight or upside down; in any case the print on the front doesn’t combine with the one on the back to avoid double and fraudulent utilization.
The color of this stamp can be: ochre yellow, yellow, greenish lemon yellow, lemon yellow, orange yellow, orange, deep orange, bistre yellow.
This stamp was utilized to frank circular letters or letter under wrapper without any write (excluded the address).
The estimated number of copies of this stamp are 3.550.000.

first stamp: I issue - lemon yellow; second stamp: otange yellow;
third stamp: ochre yellow -counterdrawed - original wrinkle of paper;
fourth stamp: ochre yellow, recto-verso printing, back printing up side down.
