The 45 CENTES cliché comes from 30 CENTES I type cliché; some characteristics of 45 CENTES, for this reason, are the same of it:
- “S” of CENTES connected to the tip of the superior left ornament of the value frame;
- “S” of CENTES defective in the left superior part (broken);
- defective in the left part of the lily;
- dot of color in the superior line of the value frame (between 45 and CENTES).
Type III - Hand made paper:
- electrolyte harden stereotype;
- number “45” fixed, as in the II type, more on the left side compared with the I type (the tip of the superior left ornament in the value frame is in the higher middle of the “4”; between “5” and “C” there are 0,6 mm);
- on the superior line of the value frame, on the left compared with the tip of the superior left ornament and e over the vertical left line of the “4” there is a little dot of color;
- the color of these stamps are: blue, bright blue, pale grayish blue and deep sea blue.
The stamps of III type can be divided into: 3° or 4° plate. The 3° plate has the cliché cleaned in three direction; the 4° plate has the cliché cleaned in two direction (in the 3° plate the dot in the coat of arms are more regulars and similar).
The estimated number of stamps printed with this cliché (3° and 4° plate) are: 3.740.000 copies.
45 centes - III type - 3° plate:
first stamp: blue; second stamp: blue.
