Type III – Machine made paper – Cleansed coat of arms

 

 

 

Characteristic of the 30 CENTES cliché:

- “S” of CENTES connected with the tip of the superior right ornament in the value frame;

- defective in the left part of the lily;

- number “3” connected with the tip of the left superior part in the value frame (in the I type about 1 mm, in the III type less of 1 mm);

- a dot of color in the superior line of the value frame (between 30 and CENTES).

 

Type III - Machine-made paper:

- Electrotype;

- tip of the lower internal right ornament, in the coat of arms frame, short and flat;

- number “3” of “30” connected with the tip of the superior part in the value frame for less than 1 mm.

- little leaf near the tip of the lower internal right ornament in the coat of arms frame similar to a line;

- the final part of the rope under the word "STEMPEL" has been retouched: originally there were 4 vertical lines; in the III type there are 4 horizontal lines;

- some cliché and stamps of the III type, 3 plate, have the “0” of 30 defective and broken in the lower part;

- color of these stamps: brown, grayish brown, reddish brown; brown gray (poor printing).

 

The stamps of III type machine made paper can be divided into: A or B plate. The A plate has the clichè cleaned in three direction; the B plate has the cliché cleaned in two direction (in the A plate the dot in the coat of arms are more regulars and similar).

 

The estimated number of copies printed of 30 CENTES machine-made paper stamps are about 8.981.000.

 

 

 

 

30 centes III type:

first stamp: reddish brown – edge of sheet and dot of register; second stamp: reddish brown;

third stamp: brown; fourth stamp: grayish brown.
