The 30 centes III type hand-made paper

Characteristic of 30 CENTES cliché (I and III type):
- “S” of CENTES connected with the tip of the superior right ornament in the value frame;
- defective in the left part of the lily;
- number “3” connected with the tip of the left superior part in the value frame (in the I type about 1 mm, in the III type less of 1 mm);
- a dot of color in the superior line of the value frame (between 30 and CENTES).
Type III - Hand made paper:
- 3° plate: the cliché comes from electrolyte harden stereotype; the coat of arms was cleaned in three direction (the dot are more regular and similar); the stamp are more clear than the ones of 2° plate;
- 2° plate: the cliché comes from electrotype; the coat of arms was cleaned in two direction; the estimated number of copies printed was 2.875.000 for the 2° plate and 975.000 for the 3° one;
- tip of the lower internal right ornament, in the coat of arms frame, short and flat;
- number “3” of “30” connected with the tip of the superior part in the value frame for less than 1 mm.
- little leaf near the tip of the lower internal right ornament in the coat of arms frame similar to a line;
- the final part of the ribbon under the word "STEMPEL" has been retouched: originally there were 4 vertical lines; in the III type there are 4 horizontal lines;
- some cliché and stamps of the III type, 3° plate, have the “0” of 30 defective and broken in the lower part;
- the color of stamps for the 2° plate are: dark brown, grayish brown, reddish brown; for the 3° plate: lilac brown and chocolate brown.
30 centes III type - 2° plate:
first stamp: grayish brown; second stamp: reddish brown; third stamp: counterdrawed.
30 centes III type - 3° plate:
first stamp: chocolate brown – edge of sheet and watermark;
second stamp: lilac brown – edge of sheet;
third stamp: light lilac brown.
