The 30 centes stamp I type hand-made paper (1/6/1850)

Common characteristic of 30 CENTES clichι (I and III type):
- S of CENTES connected with the tip of the superior right ornament in the value frame;
- defective in the left part of the lily;
- number 3 connected with the tip of the left superior part in the value frame (in the I type about 1 mm, in the III type less then 1 mm);
- a dot of color in the superior line of the value frame (between 30 and CENTES).
Type I :
- stereotype;
- tip of the lower internal right ornament, in the coat of arms frame, long and pointed;
- number 3 of 30 connected with the tip of the superior part in the value frame for about 1 mm;
- little inferior ball of 3 of 30 with an enlargement, the inferior top is crushed and similar to an accent;
- little leaf near the tip of the lower internal right ornament in the coat of arms frame confused and connected with the bigger leaf;
- color of these stamps: brown, light brown, dark brown, grayish brown, reddish brown and deep dark brown.
This stamp was used to frank the letter to receivers distant between 10 to 20 leagues.
The estimated number of copies printed for this stamp was about 17.030.000: 8.054.000 on hand-made paper and 8.981.000 on machine-made paper.

- Plate 1: about 4.200.000 copies;
- Plate 2: about 2.875.000 copies;
- Plate 3: about 975.000 copies;
- machine made paper: about 8.981.000 copies.
30 centes I type:
first stamp: 1° plate - I issue light brown start of the S. Andrea Cross on the right side (position n.60 in the sheet);
second stamp: 1° plate dark brown start of the S. Andrea Cross on the right side;
third stamp: 1° plate conterdrawed.
